Technical Program Manager

The Program Manager will be responsible to lead projects through the development process for the Inspection business, e.g. Proof of Concept projects. The high-impact & highly visible role involves strong program management background and close collaboration with Product Management, Solution Architects, Engineering manager & team, commercial/sales organizations and potential customers and partners.
In this role, you will be required to provide strong thought leadership, define process, metrics, ways to optimize/scale up, and achieve technical and business goals. Maintains peer relationships across functional teams and individuals in technical and commercial roles.
Establish process, KPIs and tracking methods/tools to measure progress and improve.
Innovate ways to improve the efficiency across the value chain to meet vision, goals and milestones.
Lead / Collaborate with cross-functional teams to success in the engagements particularly with developers
Ensure requirements, work scope, deliverables and schedule are documented and steered for success in agile/extreme programming methodologies
Define and manage change request processes
Interface with other systems, internal/external checks, controls and outputs
Gather information about program objectives, functions, features and input/output requirements in the engagements
Analyze and estimate feasibility, costs, time and compatibility with technical environments and ensures successful execution within those parameters
Skilled in technology and tools in managing the engagements (online collaboration tools, program/project tracking tools, KPI management tools, etc.)
Expert in navigating through ambiguity and prioritizing conflicting asks
Expert in collaborating with engineering, cloud services, technical support, commercial, business development, legal and other teams as needed
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in relevant areas and functions within a product/platform organization
Minimum of 5 years of experience in program/project management
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.

Must be willing to travel (about 15% of the time within US and worldwide)

Certified in one or more of PMP, Scrum and Agile methodologies
High degree of hands-on experience in running complex projects/engagements/programs
Hands-on experience in various program/project management tools
Proven ability to execute high-profile initiatives and to provide strategic, thought leadership to the organization
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute highly visible, cross business initiatives
Proven track record with both working with senior executives & technical decision makers
Experience in working with local and remote teams across time zones
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to excel in a global matrix organization
Analytic, creative and business focused problem solver
Ability to learn and define business processes and operationalize via supporting technologies/tools
