GE Aerospace GE9X Fleet HPC and MS Module Leader in Bengaluru, India

Job Description Summary

In this role, you will provide technical leadership and support to HPC and MS modules. You will work with a cross function team consists of Design, Systems, Project, RSPs and Customers to create Engine shop manuals, fleet reliability models / safety, EIS & Day1 Digital goals and cost of ownership goals for HPC and MS modules. Additionally you will be working on on wing technologies development for GE9X. In this role, you will support service’s contract profitability, develop solutions that meet business needs within functional area(s) of expertise.

Job Description

In this role, you will interface with organizations such as the Engineering Departments, Commercial Engines Operations (CEO), Digital Services Solutions (DSS), CSA Operations, Aviation Operations Center (AOC) and Customer & Product Support Organization (C&PSO) based on business need.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead and provide guidance for GE9X HPC and MS modules team engineering activities bringing customer’s perspective to the team

• Lead and create HPC and MS modules Engine Shop Manuals, Fleet reliability models

• Lead and execute GE9X EIS and Day 1 Digital goals for HPC and MS modules

• Serve as main technical interface between the customer and General Electric with great visibility inside and outside the Company

• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks complying with engineering and agency policies and procedures

• Define and develop product processes related to design, analysis, test, materials, manufacture, quality, and productivity

• Provide support for development of Time On Wing (TOW) objectives and Customized Service Agreements (CSA) / Cost Margin Reviews (CMR) reviews for HPC and MS Module

• Lead technical reviews and participate as a reviewer

• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

• Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules and customer commitments.

• Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally

Qualifications/Requirements

•Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD Degree in Engineering

•Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering position (design, analysis, systems, services), experience in analytics would be of added advantage

•Demonstrated experience in leadership role, with customer facing experience an added advantage

•Strong engineering problem solving capabilities

•Strong project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities

•Must be a superior communicator; viewed as direct and truthful. Demonstrates high energy, enthusiasm, persistence and the unique ability to maintain an uncompromising balance with thoroughness and a quick-to-action style of execution.

•Must possess the ultimate level of professionalism in demeanor and presentation to include excellence in questioning, listening, and influencing.

Desired Characteristics

•Experience with TOPS8D, engine field problem resolution

•Exposure to applied statistics

•Experience or Exposure in Digital Industrial Solutions development & industrialization

•Demonstrated leadership in advancing the state of the art in a technical specialty

•Process focused with the ability to assess and improve processes and work on methods

•Ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities

•Familiarity with life management, engine performance, aircraft flight operations and mission analysis

•Previous experience in a product or customer support role or hardware design or services contract experience
