Composites Data Steward & Analytics Technician
Location(s) Where Opening Is Available United States
U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces
This position will be responsible for the intake of data from factory machines and tools into local and central data warehouses. This position will own data at the factory level and will drive it’s advancement as part of the GE Brilliant Factory initiative. Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures.
In addition you will :
Work on brilliant factories and other IT driven manufacturing systems
Individuals in this area have IT expertise but are specialized primarily in Manufacturing
Executes routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and / or contributes to technological developments in teams under supervision
Works together with people from the business unit
Contacts are under guidance and / or geared towards collecting or giving technical information
Works within a team setting and / or under guidance
Alternatively: executing routine but complex analysis
Be responsible for the deployment of local database solutions for the intake of machine and tool data
Collaborate with Controls & Connectivity Technician to deploy new machines
Translate local data into central data warehouses
Support the process of data stitching / threading from raw to finish product
Own the integrity of the data ensuring the highest levels of quality
Investigate issues with data quality and own its mitigation at a site level
Create and manage customized visualization / dashboards at the cell and plant level
Collaborate with machines vendors, GE IT, Brilliant Factory teams, and Engineering to create data tag profiles
Develop analytical models for site specific reporting
Own the use of lifecycle management of analytics at the site level
Collaborate and partner with the larger Aviation Brilliant Factory team, the Global Research Center (GRC), the GE Software CoE and other industry leaders to develop and execute strategic initiatives
Drive operational excellence, develop and implement best practices including the enablement of the Brilliant Factory initiatives from the Value Stream Brilliant Factory Leader
Provide front line support and own lifecycle management at the factory level
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (OR a Technical Certification / Associate's degree from an accredited school or institution in computer science, engineering, or electronic discipline with a minimum of 2 years of experience in related field, OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

Bachelor’s degree in a computer science, engineering, or electronic discipline from an accredited university or college
