Role Summary/Purpose

The FMI leader will provide finance support of product recall accounting for 5 groups of Product teams across GEHC. Oversee $20MM of expenses relating to 200-300 FMI recalls annually. This role is the primary finance owner supporting engineering, segment/modality CFOs and operations leadership

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Monthly FMI expense and accrual analysis

  2. Provide weekly estimates to key stakeholders

  3. Collaborate with Global Accounting COE to ensure correct FMI reserve is calculated

  4. Work with Service to enhance data visibility

  5. Drive rigor and compliance of accounting standards

  6. Create accounting synergies across product teams

  7. Comply with local and US GAAP reporting requirements as well as internal GE policies and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements

  1. This position is open to internal and external candidates

  2. Commerce graduates with specialization in Finance... CA / CA (Inter), ICWA, MBA in Finance

  3. 8+ years of progressive finance experience

  4. Excellent analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change

  5. Strong PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications such as Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, etc. Strong Excel skills in data compilations and aggregation (pivot tables, Vlookup etc)

  6. Self-motivated, high energy
