Role Summary:

The internship will be performed in Thermo-Economic Optimization group under Gas Plant Engineering of GE Power. Thermo-Economic Optimization group is responsible for performing thermo-economic optimizations of bottoming cycles in order to select best combined cycle configurations according to thermo-economic targets for the gas plants.

GE Power may offer a Master Thesis after the internship.

Essential Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for rapid prototyping and development of web and mobile applications.

  • Building innovative mobile applications in Gas Plant Engineering

  • Transforming current plant models into digital platform

  • Generating new algorithms for plant optimization tool in order to explore new features in gas power plants


  • Proven track record in web and mobile app development

  • Good understanding of modern programming languages like PHP, Java, HTML5 and C#

  • Familiar with mobile platform Application Programming Interfaces (API) like Apple iOS and Android

  • Proficiency in programming with MATLAB, C++, and Python, efficient skills in VBA macros

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

  • High level of motivation and high level of communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, computer, electrical and electronic engineering or equivalent.

Start Date Internship : ASAP/Immediate (MSc thesis: based on agreement during the internship)

Duration: 6 months
