Network professional with experience in DNS/DHCP management of a large environment, including network support, with a focus on both DNS & DHCP Implementation, Optimization and Support services, with good DNS BIND and Linux skills
Manage, own, and drive to completion DNS/DHCP service requests and projects
Fulfill customer service requests for DNS host additions, changes, deletions
Ability to interact and communicate across all levels of the organization backed by strong relationship building skills
Quickly respond and resolve DNS/DHCP/NTP service outages severely impacting consumers
Assist in establish performance baseline, capacity thresholds, correlate events, and define monitoring/alerting criteria for DNS/DHCP/NTP services
Assist in developing automated solutions to address potential problems and repetitive tasks
Provide impact assessment and mitigation plan for changes going into the production environment
Contribute to root cause of severe and DNS/DHCP/NTP systemic outages, identify corrective actions and apply across the enterprise
Implement capacity models to baseline transactional load compared to resource performance and leverage data to predict overall system capacity while automating load placement to avoid outages
Identify thresholds for all critical links in the data path to quickly isolate where imbalances may result in potential outages
Analyze failure points in services to model risk level and resolution steps if failure occurs. Assist in driving architecture enhancements into DNS/DHCP/NTP environments to mitigate potential failure points
Available 24x7 to lead critical issue/problem resolution to complex problems where analysis requires in-depth evaluation with imaginative and innovative troubleshooting and experimentation
Perform operational health checks of the DNS/DHCP/NTP services to identify areas of concern and track activities to drive improvements at all levels of the architecture
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, similar STEM degree, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 5 years experience in enterprise-wide deployments

Experience in managing High Available systems
Experience in TCP/IP network protocols and services including HTTP, FTP, DNS, and DHCP
Experience / certifications in load balancers : F5 / Big3d
Strong understanding and use of Linux commands
Experience with complex DHCP migrations from one platform to a different platform
Experience with InfoBlox (DHCP, DNS, IPAM), F5, and Windows DHCP and DNS
Extensive knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, FTP, syslog, TFTP, etc.)
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared technical leadership environment
Ability to function well in an environment of multiple high priorities and implementation requirements
