Role Summary:

This Senior Staff Services Engineer role is well suited for a highly motivated, growth-oriented technical leader responsible for architecting services execution projects for large scale, complex deployments. This requires working closely with GE Digital customers to understand and define requirements, set expectations, and develop the overall system architecture for project implementations.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Staff Engineer will oversee multiple services projects,

creating new solution approaches, supporting the improvement of our products,

and helping to set business direction for our services organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Anticipate requirements and trends to drive solutions thatare relevant to the business strategy.

  • Proactively seek delivery of value to customers, drivingimproved solutions, speed of delivery, and reusability.

  • Proactively engage with multiple customers to define commonrequirements across projects and consistency in technical approach.

  • Provide system level design and technical oversight ofsolution implementations.

  • Apply technical and planning skills to estimate time andeffort required for new, complex projects.

  • Establish broad review processes to improve and obtainsupport for proposed solutions.

  • Effectively leverage product capability, drivingstandardization, limiting customization, and maximizing reuse of best practicesand proven solutions.

  • Engage throughout the full lifecycle of assigned projects,influencing decisions on architecture, design, and functionality to keepprograms on track in terms of budget, time, and customer expectations.

  • Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, withpeers and team members, as an inclusive leader, supporting businessdevelopment, consulting efforts, and project execution.

  • Effectively apply GE digital execution methodology andproject standards.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,or another related engineering field.

  • 10+ years’ experience in industrial software services orproduct development functions.

  • Understanding of competitive product technologies toinfluence product and marketing champions.

  • Experience with enterprise software and large distributedsystems.
