Role Summary/Purpose

The Product Service Lead Engineer–GT Accessories role offers opportunity for direct customer contact by providing technical support to the fleet in all phases of product life cycle. In this role you will work with multiple cross functional teams and customers to lead development of innovative solutions to Gas Turbine Accessories related issues, develop robust, cost-effective solutions to ensure safe and reliable equipment operation meeting customer needs as well as the needs of the business.

Essential Responsibilities

The Product Service Lead Engineer – GT Accessories will lead the execution of projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business and is a recognized expert in a specialized field. In this role you will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise and contribute to the overall business strategy.

  • Own the technical resolution to multiple complex Gas Turbine Accessory Systems issues

  • Act as a conduit and proactively facilitate cross functional collaboration between engineering teams, design teams, commercial teams, manufacturing and suppliers to develop and implement technical solutions to meet customer needs

  • Provide leadership in coordinating and presenting at technical conferences and other customer facing events

  • Lead cross-functional teams in execution of Root Cause Analysis of GE equipment non-conformances

  • Lead cross-functional teams in Big-Y initiatives improving starting reliability, availability and trip reduction

  • Provide technical support and mentorship to others for new unit installation / startup and other outage work scopes providing PAC support for critical issues

  • Authoring of, as well as coaching and mentoring of others, in the creation of internal and external communications (TILS, ETC, customer presentations, etc.) to provide guidance on major issue resolution

  • Communicate fleet and product issues into the NPI process to identify new opportunities and drive development of effective offerings

  • Actively drive recruitment campaigns to produce a pipeline of talent


  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years experience working with gas turbines OR 8 years relevant experience in related utilities, petro-chemical or paper industries
