The Region TDI Manager is accountable for the field execution in the region to meet customer and business needs. This role shall be responsible to deploy the requisite number of resources from direct or borrowed pools ensuring the selected personnel have the appropriate skills and the person mobilizes to the site to meet the customers /project needs.
Then this role is responsible to ensure the field execution is performed on budget and schedule to the meet the global standards. Additionally, this role shall provide overall team leadership and be responsible to evaluate personnel and make short and long term plans to create a proper pipeline for future work.
The Region TDI (Technical Direction of Installation) Manager reports to the TDI(Technical Direction of Installation ) COE Leader and the responsibilities include...
Lead the regional team of field engineers providing mentorship, coaching and career guidance
Support regional capability by identifying and correcting gaps as required to aid stability and potential growth
Drive overall compliance to global standard process and drive global culture of “being the best at installing our own equipment”
Drive execution of projects on time and under budget, looking for margin enhancement ideas along the project cycle
Ensure project team has approvals for all costs and back charges for GE issues. Minimize GE costs where appropriate
Provide final approval for site team selection and take full responsibility and ownership for team
Maintain a collaborative working relationship with both PS Field Service & GPS Construction & Commissioning (C&C) leadership to facilitate the sharing of the resources needed to support volumes
Collaborate with internal projects organization to ensure common transaction goals are targeted
Drive a complaint and strong EHS culture for entire team
Own Compliance to applicable Quality Work Instructions
Review and educate team on contract documents to ensure site team has clear understanding of contractual requirements and how to position for potential change orders
Develop and maintain customer relationships where appropriate
Develop team and pipeline to ensure the most optimal solution for the future of the region
Monitor resource forecasts and make recommendations/implement adjustments as needed
Create and drive local operating rhythm to ensure the site team voice is heard and the key metrics are closely monitored
Drive team to ensure flawless turnover to services team by minimizing Site work/Punch list items to minimum and having absolute completion of all required documentation as per applicable Work Instructions
Support Project team with relevant and pro-active Lessons learned at Project turnover to drive Regional and Global Best Practices to prevent re-occurrence
Support PM Team as needed for financial pacing and collections
Identify opportunities to find savings to create a more competitive opportunity
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from accredited university or college
7 years’ field experience with GT/ST installations team leadership experience
2 years’ team leadership experience with strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate with colleagues and customers
Ability to build and lead teams in a dynamic, energetic and proactive environment

This job will require more than 40% travel away from home
Experience with Primavera or Service Max
