Role Summary/Purpose

The Wind Energy EMEA P&S Operational Leader - Blades (m/f) will be responsible for the planning & execution of internal and external inspections and repair of fiberglass and composite blades, spinners, and nacelles from Category 1 through Category 5.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Building up and maintain an inspection schedule based on regulatory & contractual requirements

  • Identifying the best inspections methods through projects & services phases

  • Review inspection results & create inspection reports

  • Take repair decisions based on internal guidelines

  • Prioritize & Plan needed repairs by utilizing internal & external resources

  • Help in all areas of site preparation (i.e. coordination of tooling and materials)

  • Control Repair reports and drive vendor recover actions as needed

  • Support on WDI creation/validation between GE and 3rd Party

  • Audit inspections & repairs

  • Feedback improvement needs to New Unit Development

  • Act as main contact for 3rd Party companies

  • Be direct contact for Service Center questions around blades

  • Support the blade manager in all given goals


  • Significant experience in Wind Energy industry including blade/composite experience

  • Engineer, Techniker or Meister degree

  • Experience on Job Planning & Execution

  • German and English language fluency

  • Ability to work and influence effectively across functions in a matrix environment

  • Ability and willingness to work and climb heights of 300ft or more

  • A valid driver's license
