Sr Infrastructure Architect

In this role, you will utilize a broad set of highly technical skillsets to lead the execution of global projects focusing on the implementation of innovative IT solutions across a diverse range of infrastructure platforms. This role will serve as a subject matter expert for the implementation of GE Digital compute products. This role will partner closely with the GE Business, Engineering and Risk and Compliance teams.
Build Complex Solaris/Linux/ESX/Windows Servers with high availability (RAC/VCS/VSCFS/ESX/MS clustering)
Build Solaris LDOM's to global standards
Build VMWare ESX Images: Windows and Linux standards
Use Baremetal tools such as Jumpstart, Kickstart, Opsware etc.
Required understanding of Storage Technologies and Network Concepts to lead efforts in extensive troubleshooting efforts in compute build issues
Serve as solution delivery expert for the implementation of all new Server Builds negotiating and meeting targets on time
Lead the analysis, requirement development, design, documentation, implementation and maintenance of medium to Large IT solutions for build processes
Manage activities of project team resources to support and deliver solutions relating to the programs within the server build organization
Maintain effective working relationships with business partners and vendors to seamlessly integrate the programs and new server builds into the overall objectives and activities of all supporting Business Units
Support, advise, assist, guide and resolve problems during all build activities
Ensure conformance to system architecture, standards and practices
Act as a change agent for build processes
Coordinate outsourced supplier efforts as required
Drive automation of the processes used to deploy new server builds
Effectively use teamwork skills to interact and collaborate to resolve architecture, enterprise and/or Integration, issues, including comparing alternative approaches
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management or similar STEM degree
Minimum 3 years of experience in building and maintaining one or more infrastructure Operating Systems solutions
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies.

Demonstrated Clustering experience which include but are not limited to configuring a cluster, in various environments: Windows 2012, RAC, SFCFS, VCS, ESX Cluster
Demonstrated proficiency building within a VMWare infrastructure
Experience with UCS Manager
Experience with virtualization and cloud services
Demonstrated customer focus - evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
Strong analytical skills - strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve

Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proficient in PERL, PowerShell, BASH, or KSH Scripting
